Government Structure
The City of Silex operates under a Mayor-Board of Aldermen form of government. This structure ensures that both legislative and executive functions are balanced, with a focus on community representation and accountability.
The Mayor
The Mayor serves as the chief executive officer, presiding over board meetings and ensuring city ordinances are enforced.
The Board
Comprised of four Aldermen, the Board is the legislative body responsible for passing ordinances and resolutions.

Legislative Conduct
